Hazelnut oil is very healthy because it contains a good combination of natural fats and it is a good source of proteins, vitamin E (antioxidant) and vitamin B and it has a type of mono-unsaturated fat called “oleic acid” that it is thought to help lower cholesterol levels. It also contains Omega 6 and Omega 3 which can be normally found in fish.
It is a very versatile and nutritious ingredient and it is very flavourful so only small servings are needed and, preferably, it is used raw. It makes excellent additions to salads and salad dressings, (citronette, vinaigrettes etc), potatoes, pasta, fish, meat (especially carpaccio), bread, cheeses, and fruit salads. In fact, it is a very well-kept secret of many top chefs.
We use dark glass in order to better conserve our product.
